Authentically Laura
Hey, Lacey here! This shoot was KILLER! By the point that Laura booked her session, I had already done a few model calls to promote my new ventured as a Norfolk and Suffolk Boudoir Photographer. And by this point, I was feeling hyped. Laura is a super confident girl, she knows her worth and she was ready to bring fierce to the table and she delivered.
Pre-Session
Like with all of my sessions, we spent time putting together a Pinterest board to get inspiration together and get the full vibe of the session. We knew from the offset we wanted to do a small series of images with fairylights with a light, ethereal feel to them and we wanted to incorporate a few images using the layering of material to create this super textured airy feel to them. So we had the basis of what we wanted to do.
We then talked outfits (of course)! The most vital bit of information that I can give you girls is to buy things that fit your body well and accentuate your shape. I think sometimes people see the things they love on Instagram or on the models in the shop and more often than not, find themselves feeling uncomfortable in their own skin. You do not need this! Laura opted for a few options and these all fit her beautifully, as well as being her own style. You'll see in the gallery below - She opted for a beautiful black lace top and matching underwear option with heels. Followed by a popping red lingerie set that she matched with a bold, long kimono. Finally to end the series she went with a comfortable, muted lounge set with a really cool oversized white shirt.
Shoot Day
The studio is based in Thetford, which puts me in an ideal position to photograph Norfolk and Suffolk Boudoir sessions.
GIRLS! Best believe it that when you come to my studio, I will be playing tunes and bringing all the laughs! By the time Laura and I had been chatting over Instagram and pinning stuff to her board, we had gained a great report together.
We spent the session boosting each other up, laughing and generally chit chatting, I believe the best things about these sessions is spending time together! Not only does it make the session fun, but ultimately you will be so much more relaxed. So bring everything to the table, there's no judgement here.
I am dedicated to continuously improving my style and my posing techniques, but even after these few sessions, I believe I know how to get the best out of the women that come into my studio. Laura and I spent so much of our session laughing and joking and then smashing out sensational looking photos.
Laura has one of these styles that flits between extreme grunge vibes to preppy and pretty in a heartbeat and I am here for it!
